Vikasitha Ministries

bibleschool.jpgTherismos Centre for Theological Education. Therismos means “harvest.” As we saw in Jesus’ words, no gap between sowing & reaping (John 4:35). We train young men and women to take the Gospel into unreached and neglected Hindu and Tribal groups.

Vanitha (“Ladies”) Self Help Center. We are giving special training to ladies in sewing, embroidery, tie & die, and other vocational skills. Through this we have many opportunities for friendship evangelism.

Pastors Support. 21 pastors in different districts (counties) are working for the Lord in spite of many hardships. Vikasitha provides monthly financial support for these pastors.

localchurch1.jpgLocal Church Ministry. We call this “Ichthoos Dhyana Mandir,” which means Meditation Center. Ichthoos is Greek acronym for “Jesus Christ God’s Son & Savior.” Through local church ministry we are reaching Hindu caste communities with the Gospel. Also it is a place to grow mentally, morally, and spiritually through the fellowship we provide.

Vikasitha Children Home – Buds. Vikasitha means “blossom.” Leading us to James 1:27, the Lord gave us burden to raise orphan. These children were like buds cutoff from the plants, God gave them hope to blossom again. We get these children from different caste backgrounds and raise them in a caste-less atmosphere.

churchplanting.jpgChurch Planting Ministry. After finishing their two-year training program, our bible college students go for six months to do pioneering work to plant new churches. We provide mission kits for them, which includes a bicycle, utensils, mats, bed sheets, and other necessary items.

communityprogram.jpgCommunity Education Programs. Vikasitha provides expert tutors to local poor children to assist in their education. We teach manners, morals and spiritual principles. We have also opened a computer and English training center. This is a great open door to build friendships and relationships to reach youth in high school and college levels.

widows.jpgOld Age and Widows Support. For the last two years, we have been supporting widows who are in desperate need and have no means of support. We call this ministry Oudharyam, which means “Generosity.”
